01 — Fit

Who this is for.

The Health Check works best when it solves a specific problem for a specific kind of operation. If you don't see yourself below, this probably isn't the right next step — and I'll say so on the discovery call.

Best fit

  • You run supply chain for a $50M–$500M manufacturer or distributor.
  • You inherited the function recently, or the last twelve months had more surprises than you'd like.
  • You're being asked about AI, planning software, or risk — and want a clear-eyed read before signing anything.
  • You'd rather have one focused engagement than a long retainer.

Not a fit

  • You need execution help — project management or hands-on implementation.
  • You want a software vendor recommendation. I don't sell or resell software.
  • You're a Fortune 500. Your problems are bigger than this format solves well.
  • You want a 200-slide deck. I deliver short documents that lead to decisions.
02 — Deliverables

What you get.

Five written deliverables and one working session. Plain English. Slides where they help. Spreadsheets where they're needed. No 200-page report.

i.

Risk Scorecard

Your top exposures across supply, demand, inventory, and operations — ranked, scored, and explained.

ii.

Forecast Accuracy Review

Where your forecast misses, why it misses, and which gaps are worth fixing first.

iii.

Supplier Exposure Map

Geographic, single-source, lead-time, and concentration risk — visualized at a glance.

iv.

Inventory Opportunities

Where excess and obsolete are tying up cash, and where service levels are quietly at risk.

v.

90-Day Action Plan

Ranked priorities with rough effort, owners, and expected impact. Built to be acted on, not filed.

03 — Process

How it works.

Thirty days. Fixed scope. Fixed price. No surprises.

i.

Discovery call

30 min · no charge

A short conversation to confirm fit and agree on scope. If it isn't the right next step, I'll say so.

ii.

Data intake

Week 1

You upload a defined list through a secure portal. No new reports. No data cleansing. No IT project.

iii.

Analysis

Weeks 2–3

I build the scorecards, the supplier map, and the inventory analysis. You don't need to do anything during this phase.

iv.

Executive review

Week 4

A 60-minute working session with you and up to three of your leaders. You leave with a written 90-day action plan.

04 — Inputs

What we'll need from you.

The exact list is confirmed on the discovery call. If something below is hard to pull, we work around it. Whatever you have today is fine — messy is normal and tells me something useful.

01

Demand & Forecast

  • 12–24 months of forecast vs. actual sales (SKU or product-family level, or both)
  • 2–3 sentences on your forecast process — who owns it, what cadence, what tool
  • How you convert forecast to execution plan
02

Suppliers & Sourcing

  • Top 50 suppliers by spend (or full list if smaller), and their commodities/materials
  • Annual spend, country, quoted lead time, sole-source Y/N
  • Brief notes on any disruption in the last 18 months
  • Quality performance and status
03

Inventory

  • Current on-hand by SKU or category — units and dollar value
    • Finished goods (FG)
    • Work in process (WIP)
    • Raw materials
    • In-transit
    • Inventory accuracy performance
  • Inventory turns or days-on-hand if you track them
  • Anything flagged as excess or obsolete
04

Customer Service

  • Service level, fill rate, or on-time delivery for the last 12 months
  • Backorder or stockout data if tracked (rough is fine)
05

Systems & Context

  • Systems you run on: ERP, WMS, TMS, planning, QMS, CRM, supplier portal
  • Where spreadsheets carry the load
  • Your top three supply chain frustrations, in your own words
  • A simple org chart for the supply chain function
Confidentiality. NDA signed before intake — mine or yours. All files live inside your dedicated portal workspace. Returned or destroyed within 30 days of project close.

06 — About

Who you're working with.

I've spent three decades inside supply chain — running it, consulting on it, and teaching it to the people who do.

I built Supply Chain Pro2Know because most mid-market companies don't need another six-month consulting engagement. They need a clear, honest read on where they stand and what to do next. The Health Check is the most direct version of that.

If you'd like the longer version, the About page covers industries, clients, and how I got here.

07 — Questions

What people ask before booking.

Why only 30 days?
Most diagnostic engagements drag on because they're priced hourly. Fixed scope, fixed price, fixed clock — you get the answer faster, and I'm motivated to deliver, not to extend.
What if our data is messy?
Messy is normal. How messy tells me something useful by itself. I work with what you have.
Do you require an NDA?
Signed before intake, always. Mine or yours — whichever your legal team prefers.
What happens after the 30 days?
Up to you. Most clients take the action plan and run with it. Some keep me on for a 90-day retainer to help execute. Some send their team to the Pro2Know Portal to build the skills internally. No pressure to do any of those — and no upsell on the executive review.
How do I know if I'm a fit?
Book the 30-minute discovery call. If it isn't a fit, I'll tell you — and where useful, I'll point you to someone better suited.
Can I see a sample deliverable?
A redacted sample is available on request after the discovery call. Real client work stays confidential by default.

Thirty minutes. No charge. No pitch deck.

If the Health Check is the right next step, we'll talk through scope and timeline. If it isn't, I'll say so and we'll both move on with our day.
